I just had another bath! Sure, I went to the park and played with another puppy, but I bet he didn’t have to get a bath when he got home. Now Mommy says I’m going to the groomer and getting my first haircut. I don’t know what that means, but I doubt it means something good. Maybe there will be treats involved. That’s always good.
Do German Shepherds have to get haircuts? I should have been a German Shepherd!
I think toilet paper belongs on the kitchen floor!
Mommy and I disagree on where the toilet paper should be. The roll used to be on a holder in the bathroom and that was very handy for me. I’d grab the end and run with the paper flowing along behind me. Mommy put a stop to that by taking the roll off the holder and setting the roll on the counter. I couldn’t reach it. I tried and tried. I jumped up to get it but I couldn’t jump high enough. Until today! While Mommy showered I jumped up just high enough. She came out of the shower and found me in the kitchen. I put the paper where it belongs!
I went to sleep at the Vet’s office and I woke up a ConeHead! What happened? Mommy told someone I got “fixed”. What does that mean? What needed fixing? I’m nice to everyone. I like all other dogs, even if they ignore me or bark at me. I like everyone I meet. I let the cat eat my food and I just sit back and watch him. I think I’m a pretty nice little fellow so what did I do that needed fixing?
I heard Mommy say I’ve got to wear this cone for two weeks. I’m not sure exactly what that means but I can tell you each minute is a problem for me.
Some of the folks I know from my walks call me Happy because that’s what I always am. Do I look happy now?
Look at me! I finally caught a Bird! Of course I’d still like to catch a little bird but I’m pretty excited about this one! When I first came to Atlanta I found Birds like this very scary. Well, to be honest, I still think they are scary, but I don’t chase after them anymore. People ride really fast on the sidewalk where I take my walks. But now look at this. I think the Bird is dead. I’m checking it out but it’s a little disappointing — it’s not edible!
I graduated from PetSmart Puppy Training Beginner class on Sunday. Plus, I turned 6 months old the same day. Mommy bought me a special treat so I guess I did really good. Not only did I learn my lessons but I also learned to shake hands. OK, I know my face might look a little dirty, but I was outside getting into some really good stuff before class. Life is good!
Don’t you just love when people litter? Picking up trash is such fun! Mommy doesn’t seem too thrilled when I pick up trash, but she did let me carry this cup I found. I carried it a full block, only dropping it twice, but she gave me time to pick it up again. We went to a trash can and I dropped it. I turned around and it was gone. Did Mommy put it in the big bin? Oh well, there’s always more where that came from!
Love from Cooper!
Just a quick note from Mommy:
STOP LITTERING! There are trash cans all over the area, emptied regularly, so please use them!
Yesterday was a little stressful. It started out fun because I met some new friends at the dog park. But then, on my afternoon walk I stuck my nose down in the deep grass and the next thing you know I’m covered in little red ants. Yuk! I went a little crazy and them Mommy went a little crazy! Ants were everywhere. Mommy started taking them off my face but they were everywhere. She had to keep picking them off me. Finally she got them all. Thank goodness, but I ended up getting a bath when I got home. She got all the ants, why in the world did I need a bath?
In the evening we took a nice walk and I didn’t get into anymore ants. What I did find was some beautiful flowers. Sometimes you do have to stop, smell the flowers and just enjoy life.
I can be on the couch as long as I keep to my side!
When I first came home I told you about the long, black thing in our house that Mommy says is a cat named Whiskers. Whiskers let me know right away he is “The King” and I should just refer to him as King. The King spent 2 weeks hissing and batting at me. I follow him around and he turns, hisses and then chases me away. Is he playing? Is he mad? I don’t understand the noise he’s making. He might be speaking a foreign language. He’s definitely not barking!
I just got big enough to jump on the couch! It was a real accomplishment for me. I tried and tried but never could make it, until now. The problem is The King is on the couch a lot (he’s very lazy!). Would he let me up there with him?
Turns out I’m safe as long as I hug the side. I can do that! Look at me on the couch!
The shoes are all in the wrong place. It appears it’s up to me to rectify the situation. This is a lot of work. I can only take one shoe at a time.
I found this tall shoe organizer filled with shoes, many of them at just my height. I decided to spread them out with a few in each room. Little did I know Mommy would pick them up and put them back in the organizer. What’s with that? I had some in the living room, some in the kitchen, and the slippers in the bathroom. Sometimes Mommy picks them up and now there are shoes on the kitchen table (yuk!), on top of the printer, and on the bathroom counter. I work at this everyday to keep them out of the organizer.
So many shoes, so little time.

P.S. Mommy was trying to teach me how to add music to my video but she’s not very skilled. She said we could add the beginning of Superfly to my video on iMovie and it should be easy peasy. It wasn’t! I think I have to get a better computer teacher!
My PetSmart Puppy Training class was postponed so with my extra time I thought I’d do a little reading. Now I just have to decide on a book. What should I read? Do I go with a cookbook, check out a book on St. Louis, or read about collectibles? As you can see I finally decided to pull out the Atlanta Dining Guide. I assume this is a doggie dining guide because what other kind would there be? Now I’ll just have to decide on a restaurant!
